Olah is honored to announce it has successfully completed its recent SOC 2 Type II audit. As SOC 2 is a robust audit framework that assesses information system reliability, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy, this marks an important achievement for Olah’s data security standards.
“Acquiring SOC 2 Type II compliance is yet another milestone in Olah’s mission to be the go-to archiving solution for all of healthcare. At Olah, we’re proud to support organizations of all sizes and shapes to help them get control of their collection of outdated applications — and do so in the most responsible and secure way possible,” - Chad Hill, CEO
Established by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), SOC 2 compliance is a rigorous standard that ensures service organizations adhere to one or more of the AICPA’s five Trust Services Criteria (TSC): Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, and Privacy. Upholding robust standards in these areas is especially pertinent to Olah’s use of advanced technology to unburden healthcare providers from legacy archiving.
The SOC 2 certification was founded in 2010 by the AICPA, partly in response to the rapid expansion of the internet and cloud-based services. Though this compliance level isn’t legally required, it confirms that data service providers uphold best-in-class recommendations in information security. Additionally, SOC 2 certification is the only data integrity standard endorsed by the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), a global organization dedicated to establishing best practices for data security.
SOC 2 requires rigorous standards on how companies handle customer information, and compliance guarantees established and implemented organizational practices are in place to safeguard customer data. Olah is committed to continually implementing best-in-class data security and privacy standards and is honored to become officially certified. Have questions about how Olah protects information?
